Work done by the Kurchatovo branch in December, 2011

At the Kursk NPP the branch did some work related to oscillographic testing, lighting system setup, fire safety equipment installation and other stuff – all at the 3^rd and 4^th units of the plant.   Some of the work also went on at the spent-fuel storage sites of the station.  Equipment replacement activities at SSG-330 kV (1^st line) and SSG-750 kV (2^nd line) of the Kursk NPP.

ECM also continues work at two power units of the Adler TPP (total capacity of the plant is 360 mW, 180 mW each), which includes installation jobs (auxiliary electrical equipment), cable laying and material provision – all within the framework of the “Adler TPP” project.

At the 5^th unit of the Novovoronezhsk NPP we are now performing a number of post-reconstruction activities.
EMC is now also doing full-overhaul work at the Orlov TPP.

Detailed description:

1. Kursk NPP:
   • 3^rd power unit: partial replacement of the lighting system and some balancing equipment;
   • SSG-750 (2^nd line):
     • Removal and installation of circuit breakers;
     • Oscillographic testing of the 4^th power unit;
     • control cable laying/connection;
     • renovation work on the fire fighting equipment (3^rd unit);
     • protective pipes, cable laying, installation of boxed switches;
   • Relay protection system of 4^th unit:
     • coating the cables with fire-retarding substances;
     • 6 kV circuit breakers, 4^th unit;
     • Defragmentation of 6 kV VEM breakers;
   • Unit control/monitor system, 4^th unit: breakers, retainers, metalwork cable constructions;
   • Unit control/monitor system-7.8 (4^th unit): cable laying, terminators, T-joints, valves, pipes, EC&I systems;
   • 4^th unit itself:
     • fiber cable laying;
     • lighting system setup;
   • Spent fuel-storage site: power equipment installation, cable constructions, cable laying/connection works, lighting system setup.
2. Adler TPP:
   • main building, No1:
     • outdoor grounding grid, relay protection systems, power lines,
     • secondary control wiring;
   • the SS supporting facility: outdoor grounding grid, the power transformer wiring, 0.4 kV busbar feed to the 2^nd unit;
   • Control room: metalwork cable construction, lighting system, outdoor and indoor grounding grids;
   • the auxiliary equipment of the 2^nd gas turbine (1^st unit): cable laying/connection work;
   • outdoor grounding grid, lighting system, all sorts of sealing activities;
   • steam-turbine sites (2^nd unit):
     • metalwork cable constructions;
     • metalwork cable through overpass constructions;
   • fan cooling tower: equipment installation, metalwork cable construction;
   • 2^nd unit, main building: lighting system setup (+15.850), metalwork cable laying work;
   • 1^st unit, third stairway: lightning system installation.
