ECM-Kostroma conquers Siberia

Our Kostroma division has recently launched a major project building a 12 mW gas-turbine power station near the Igolsk-Talovoe oil deposit (Tomsk region). Ordering party – OAO "Tomskoil".

Under the contract we have signed with OAO "Saturn gas turbines" (which is the primary supplier of electrical equipment at the GTES project), ECM is going to perform a number of power-related jobs involving installation/test work, automation system setup and others – both within and outside the plant.

After a special contest put on by OAO “Tomskoil,” OAO “Saturn” has been granted the great privilege of being the chief supplier of electrical equipment on the GTES-12 (gas-turbine plant) project (12 here stands for the projected total power capacity of the plant, which is 12 mW).   The job is going to involve the installation of two big gas-turbine units (GTA-6RM) driven by two 6 mW engines manufactured by OAO “NPO Saturn” and equipped with two TK-6-2RUZ generators made by OAO “Privod” (part of the “Oil Systems” concern).

GTES-12 is supposed to become the primary power feed for the Igolsk-Talovoe oil field; the plant itself is going to run on oil gas.   GTES-12 will be able to operate both within the electrical network and on its own.

This project is part of the so-called 2^nd series of power-facility work over there.  1^st one revolved around the construction of the GTES-24mW plant which was rigged with four GTE-6/6,3 generators made by OAO “Motor Seach.”

OAO “Saturn” is an affiliated company of OAO “NPO Saturn” which a major supplier of high-quality electrical equipment for OAO “Gasprom,” for a number of big oil companies, power companies (OGK, TGK), private/government organizations and industrial facilities.  “Saturn” provides a range of services involving gas turbines and related equipment (design, manufacture, maintenance, installation, testing, launching of gas-turbine units within 2,5 – 325 mW; also, complex construction of power generating plants, and manufacture of equipment for nuclear power plants).
