Kostroma division signs a contract with OAO “E4 Group”

The Kostroma division of ECM has recently signed a contract with OAO “E4 Group” for a host of jobs related to the “Nyagan GRES” project (ordering party – OAO “Fortum”).

This project involves a wide range of activities, which include equipment provision/delivery, all sorts of installation work, test/launch of a boiler house placed inside the 1^st auxiliary building of the station, and the complete setup of a 370-ton overhead crane set in the U1 main building.

Nyagan GRES is a thermal power plant located in a small town called Nyagan, which is in the Khanty-Mansi area of Russia.  The plant is an affiliate of OAO “Fortum” (formerly TGK-10).

This is going to be one of the largest Russian power facilities financed by RAO EES.  Once it’s up and running, the plant will become one of the world’s largest thermal plants north of 62N. The plant is going to be put into full operation in three steps, one unit at a time. Estimated capacities: 1^st and 2^nd units together – 5.4 billion kWh, once the 3^rd unit joins in – roughly 8.6 billion kWh.   Electrical power of each unit – 420 mW, total power of the plant – 1 260 mW. Projected heat power – 570 Gcal/h.
