4th unit of the Kursk NPP has been put back into operation after a series of heavy maintenance activities

The Kurchatov branch of ECM has successfully completed a large renovation project for the nuclear plant, which included:

• Renovation of the relay protection/control parts of the TG-7, TG-8, 6T, 27T and 28T power transformers;
• Renovation of UPS1 and UPS2;
• Renovation of KRU-6kV, which involved the replacement of the 6 kV breakers with SF6 ones;
• Renovation of the 4DG-2, 4DG-3 automatic control systems;
• Air conditioning and ventilation systems (TG-7, TG-8).

The unparalleled skills and high-quality operation revealed by the branch on this project were remarked in a recent letter of gratitude from the plant’s management staff.
